The Grand Challenges India partnership opened its second grant opportunity, "Reinvent the Toilet Challenge - India." This program seeks to support the development of innovative, new sanitation technologies, products, and services. Projects should focus on stand-alone, affordable and environmentally and economically sustainable solutions that do not require connection to the sewer or electrical grid, to enable their deployment in rural and poor urban communities that often need them the most.
