The BuzzClip - Assistive Technology That Empowers Blind Youth

iMerciv caters to the orientation and mobility needs of blind, deaf-blind or partially sighted communities around the world. We strive to empower those living with vision loss through innovative assistive technologies. The company is now set to launch its first product, The BuzzClip; a small and discreet wearable for children and adults that are living with vision loss. The device detects obstacles that may lie directly in one's path and then notifies the wearer of these obstacles through intuitive vibrations, allowing the wearer to safely navigate around any objects that they may encounter. The BuzzClip significantly enhances early brain development in marginalized blind youth because it drastically improves their orientation and mobility abilities at an early age. This in turn empowers them to be more independent, more confident, more social, more willing to learn or try new opportunities and thus giving them a greater chance to beat the odds and reach their full potential.
