MAMaZ Against Malaria

MAM@Scale brings rectal artesunate (RAS) to remote regions in Zambia, providing children under-six with immediate pre-referral intervention for severe malaria at the community level. MAM@Scale also facilitates emergency transport (ETS) of patients to referral health centers via a system of fully equipped bicycle ambulances with trained riders. Having made significant progress towards TTS2 milestones, TTS3 graduation funding of $500,000 CAD over 13 months will enable the team to continue to transition to scale and strengthen the institutionalization of community-based RAS at the national and district levels.
