In the fifteenth round of Grand Challenges Explorations, proposals were solicited that targeted the following challenges: gut health through bacteriophage, measuring digital financial services, supporting new mosquito-control approaches, reducing malaria transmission by outdoor mosquitoes, reducing childhood deaths from pneumonia, and enabling universal acceptance of mobile money payments. The first two challenges are new this round and include the second to be launched under Grand Challenges Explorations by the Foundation’s Financial Services for the Poor program.
